How can I encourage my baby rabbit to eat?

Three days ago I adopted a wild baby rabbit which was found with hypothermia and shock near my home. Because they are pests here the RSPCA gave me the option to keep him because they would just have to put him down.

The problem is that we are having trouble getting him to eat anything. We have tried rabbit mix from the pet shop, pet milk (a fairly generic one that is suitable for kittens and puppies), pet milk with honey, grated carrot, broccoli, grass, dandelion leaves, clover leaves and flowers, and grapes. He doesn%26#039;t seem to be interested in anything - he will have a little nibble at the grass, clover flowers and dandelion but just nibbles off a tiny piece, chews it up but then doesn%26#039;t want anything else.

He is doing wees and a small amount of poos but I%26#039;m getting worried that he is going to starve himself to death! He is very lively, and appears happy and curious. He is quite young (the vet at RSPCA though about 4 wks old) but has thick fur and eyes open so probably weaned.

How can I encourage my baby rabbit to eat?
Try this site out as it is the best one IMO on the net for rabbit information.

www.rabbit.org

Unfortunately, I know a lot of people don%26#039;t recommend having wild rabbits as pets since they are very different than domesticated pet rabbits you would see in a pet store. In your case though, I would%26#039;ve done the same thing instead of having the poor thing put down. The site has very useful information and I hope it helps :)
Reply:Just continue variations and hopefully you will find something he likes. Try finding stuff close to where you found him also as he may be more succeptable to liking it from having it before. I have no experience with rabbits so this is the best I can help. I hope he doesn%26#039;t die. Good luck.
Reply:Oh yeah baby rabbit is fine to eat too. There%26#039;s a lot of good rabbit stew recipes online.
Reply:just leave it in a stress free little container where he feels safe don%26#039;t watch it because this might make it nervous leave a bowl of finlet chopped carrot in their it will eat after it has a sleep.
Reply:If you insist on trying to save this feral animal that has decimated our country,,, then fine.. Its a wild animal that has no connection hardly at all to our domesticated rabbits. It needs to be in a good sized enclosure in a very quiet area of your yard, with minimal human contact and lots of natural grasses, bland hay plenty of wood etc for its teeth. If the feral thing survives and gains strength, please have it de-sexed, for your own safety and your other pets, have it tested for deseases such as mixo(introduced to eradicate this pest) No doubt, if it survives it will escape eventually. I have seen the ground collapse under house foundations because of this animals burrows in our country. They breed much faster than our natural animals and compete with them for food. It%26#039;s not likely to survive captivity, please leave it with your vet.
Reply:i have a rabbit and when i got it she wouldn%26#039;t eat anything. i tried everything just like you. but then i realized that she wouldn%26#039;t eat anything while i was there because she was too curious to see what i was and to jump on my lap. when i left, she would eat. i recommend getting alfalfa or timothy hay. rabbits need these in order to digest thier food right and also you can get very organic hay that i think a wild rabbit won%26#039;t mind eating. keep feeding him the fresh stuff too. i hope i helped.. !!

I need a UNIQUE baby shower theme for a UNIQUE mom to be.?

So, I am planning a baby shower for my mother who is having a baby girl. The dilema is my mom is not very girly and her girlfriend (who will be the baby%26#039;s other mommy-but is not pregnant) is girly and I want them both to feel like their personal tastes are expressed in the shower. Also, I want an idea that has not been done to death (ex: a star is born, teddy bears, noah%26#039;s ark, tea party, flowers, ducks, angels, ANY cartoon character, think pink, nursey rhymes etc.) They all seem frumpy and played out. Trouble is, I can%26#039;t think of anything better!

Any Suggestion?

Thanks in Advance :)

I need a UNIQUE baby shower theme for a UNIQUE mom to be.?
So you should go with a safari theme.....giraffes, zebras, lions, hippos, etc. Make it as girly as you want....with flowers wrapped in animal-print ribbon. THE ANIMAL PRINT items is what will make this unique and distinctive!!

Have a diaper cake made as a centerpiece. I can picture a cake with zebra ribbon and RED roses on the top. A onesie that says %26quot;Wild Thing%26quot;!!

Another great theme would be %26quot;Sleepytime Hours%26quot;. You could do moons and stars and feature GREAT storybooks. Ask each guest to bring their favorite storybook from THEIR childhood to start baby%26#039;s collection. Decorate with images from GOODNIGHT MOON, WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE, RUNAWAY BUNNY, DR. SEUSS, ETC. Once again....get a diaper cake centerpiece. THIS one would be in the storybook theme....with a plush Cat In The Hat Topper and a Onesie that says: %26quot;And Now%26quot;, cried Max, %26quot;Let the wild rumpus begin!%26quot; (From Where the Wild Things Are).

That%26#039;s my ten cents.....

I am including links to my diaper cake website as well as to my page off that site that has UNIQUE and SENTIMENTAL activities at the shower. Maybe they can help you out!!

Have fun planning....but don%26#039;t think yourself into stress. The point of the shower is to celebrate baby....and as long as the mamas show up most of the work will already be done!!
Reply:There was no %26quot;theme%26quot; per say at my baby shower and who cares? The gifts were great -- we got so many useful and nice things and the food was excellent (Lebanese, my favorite). It was great having all my friends and family together.

The invitations had a pink bunny on them which matched the pink bunny on the cake and on the favor bags, but other than that, the party%26#039;s theme was %26quot;BABY SHOWER.%26quot; There were games and prizes and great food.

Are you sure you are not overthinking this?
Reply:don%26#039;t do a character theme, just pick a color scheme and stick with it throughout the table ware and decor. I think baby showers are generally really tacky, but they don%26#039;t have to be. use earth-tones like grass green, reds, yellow, etc. bring in a lot of fresh flowers and use patterned napkins from ikea - they have a ton of cute stuff like that! you could even give them each a foot bath and/or foot massage as part of the activities at the shower. There are tons of word games online that are easy to print out so you don%26#039;t have to play %26quot;guess the babyfood flavor%26quot; yuk!
Reply:well i can think of a couple of things:

you can always make a %26quot;baby in a bubble%26quot; baby shower, with bubbles everywhere, in decoration and games, and you can give people bubble bottles.... or you can have an colorful-all-original mexican party with piƱatas ad all, or.......you can do a %26quot;costume party%26quot; baby shower, where people have to go dressed as the way they think the future baby will look like or will work in......

my two baby showers%26#039; themes were tropical fruits and %26quot;the jungle%26quot;, and they were a lot of fun as you might guess....

so Good Luck!
Reply:here%26#039;s a theme - how about ALIENS or PARASITES? to me, that%26#039;s what baby%26#039;s being born are like! ;)
Reply:How about monochromatic? You choose just one color (since you said she isn%26#039;t super girly, let%26#039;s take purple for an example.) All you do is buy all your decorations in different shades of purple (or whatever.) So your cups, plates, streamers, helium balloons, tablecloths, etc. would all be a shade of purple that is a little different. This is too easy because the challenge is finding all that stuff that matches perfectly - all different shades of one color are easy to find, and the finished result is *sharp.* It%26#039;s also polished and modern - you will get compliments.
Reply:Why not just a summer garden-party theme? You could have some flowers and some veggies or plants and croquet and maybe some other sports for decorations. If they have decorated or are starting to decorate the nursery, continue some of that theme to the shower. Or instead of Noah%26#039;s ark, how about just animals. I have two boys and am expecting a third in the next 4-6 weeks and no matter how trite would have loved massive amounts of pink, tea party or ballerina stuff if I was having a girl. Even the least girly mom sometimes likes to have the over-the-top pink-fest. You only get this chance once (per kid).
Reply:I had a masquerade themed shower. It was so much fun and it was unique. Everyone dressed up and we all made our own mask. We had carnival style foods and played all these unique games. Just an idea. Good luck!
Reply:ummm...how about a cinderella theme...the gifts can come out on a carrige!!!
Reply:Baby shower theme for 2 mom%26#039;s. Wow that could be tough.

Here are some of the ideas I found:

Nine months pregnant

We invited the guests to come %26quot;nine months pregnant%26quot; (stuffed with pillows, etc.) so the about-to-pop mother-to-be wouldn%26#039;t feel physically out of place. It was a co-ed shower, so even the men stuffed their shirts to be %26quot;with child%26quot;! The dressing up made for a nice icebreaker since all of the guests didn%26#039;t know each other beforehand and created a very fun, relaxed atmosphere.

— Maggie

Layette party

Hang a clothesline in the room. Have guests arrive before the guest of honor and bring an item from the layette or an article of clothing for the baby and hang it from the clothesline. When the mom-to-be walks in, she%26#039;ll be delighted. She can also take the clothesline and clothes pins for her own personal use.

— Sabrina

Tea party

My sisters-in-law and two friends threw a surprise tea party baby shower for me. They made fresh flower centerpieces for the tables. They borrowed teapots, plates, and cups from a relative and placed a set on each table. My theme was teddy bears, so they borrowed bears and set them all around the room. All the tables were covered with fancy tablecloths and guests were asked to dress up. The menu started with assorted teas, scones, etc. The main menu was turkey on a croissant, fresh fruit slices, and a salad. People are still talking about the shower!

— Heather

I wish your mom the best of luck!
Reply:There is a cute one on http://www.rosemarycompany.com it is called pea in a pod.
Reply:Hmm, why does there have to be a theme? What about just plain old %26quot;Congratulations! Welcome new baby!%26quot; Then you can decorate however you want to and it won%26#039;t be played out or overused... it%26#039;ll be unique to their own special tastes, no?
Reply:I would try an undersea theme. You can do up the tables and decorations in blue and green (not too girly, right?) but you could have flowery table pieces and mermaid decorations to girl it up a bit.

Nicole richie had her baby!!!?

heres the details:

Nicole Richie and Joel Madden have welcomed a baby girl!

Harlow Winter Kate Madden was born Friday at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in L.A.

She weighed 6 lbs., 7 oz.

A pal was spotted walking into her room with a giant bundle of pink and white balloons, flowers and a stuffed black and white horse.

As Usmagazine.com reported exclusively, she arrived at the hospital late Thursday. Her parents arrived Friday as she went into labor.

Madden%26#039;s brother Benji and his girlfriend Sophie Monk were also at the hospital.

In November, Richie said they could not agree on a baby name. %26quot;I figure I%26#039;ll be in the hospital for at least a day, so I%26#039;ll figure it out then,%26quot; she told Access Hollywood. In the same interview, Richie indicated the couple would wed %26quot;eventually.%26quot;

Earlier that month, Richie celebrated her pregnancy with a Wizard of Oz-themed baby shower, attended by Lauren Conrad, among other guests.

Should I be worried about my flowers for tonight?

I have baby wildflowers and snapdragons that I had transplanted out side that are now getting their secondary leaves in. They have been alright when temperatures dropped into the 40%26#039;s at night but now there is talk of sleet tonight and temperatures falling into the 30%26#039;s. I have all my flowers covered with little dirt cups. Will they be alright?

Should I be worried about my flowers for tonight?
Unless you have anything that is really frost-sensitive like impatiens or African marigolds, you don%26#039;t need to worry. Most flower plants can take cold weather without damage. Wildflowers and snapdragons will be fine. After all, wild flowers are wild and have to survive everything Mother Nature throws at them.
Reply:A good night%26#039;s sleep is important. Have a warm cup of Ovaltine and go to bed. Your flowers will be just fine.

They can be more hardy than you think.
Reply:As long as there is no wind to knock the cups over, they should be fine. You could cover with a sheet, just to be safe.
Reply:don%26#039;t worry!

Whats a good gift for new mom and baby?

My good friend just had her baby last night and I am going to go see her and her new little girl this afternoon. What is something I can bring to her at the hospital, other than flowers since Valentines is tomorrow. What is something I can get for her, not the baby (I already have something for baby)?

Whats a good gift for new mom and baby?
If she is breastfeeding, a nursing gown would be wonderful.

A great book. If she is a new mom....... Chicken soup for a new moms soul would be great.

A boppy.

Her favorite lotion, adult smell.

A new movie, for when she is up in the middle of the night.

Hope something helps.
Reply:well if she is staying at the hospital long time, give her magizens, if not then body wash, bubble bath, a new pair of pajamas(silk) she is gona want to feel confortable. a gift certifacte to her favorite resurant so she will not have to cook.
Reply:A gift certificate for a massage or new hair cut.......i know thats what i would like!! After all that she needs to be pampered and to feel pretty again. It will also help with any post partum problems.
Reply:One of my friends arranged for meals to be provided for my family for a month so that I could go home with the baby and not have to stress about cooking dinner. Every day there was either a meal frozen in the freezer or one was dropped off. All of my friends alternated days and it was great! She took it upon herself to remind people of their dates and we%26#039;ve turned it into a gift we all give to each other whenever a new baby is born. It was by far the best gift I received!
Reply:Flowers this time of the year are overpriced and under quality, so here%26#039;s a great idea: Go to Bath and Body (or evenTraget or Walmart)and pick up some bath crystals, some matching lotion, a pumice stone, red (or pink) nail polish, and a few tea bags and a couple of pieces of candy and make it into a great %26quot;getaway%26quot; basket. You can literally put them in a basket (also at walmart) or just in a nice gift bag with tissue. She will really use it and thank you from the bottom of her heart.
Reply:A gift certificate to a massage for her and the baby. Check with your local hospital or midwifery clinic they always have names available.
Reply:Love these answers you got some good ones. I love the meals idea, massage or something personal for her it%26#039;s always for the baby. Depending on how close oyu are and what oyu want ot spend.

My favorite gift was a memory book not a baby book but its called A Mothers Memories to her Child. It is something she will have when I%26#039;m gone.
Reply:I just bought my best friend a beautiful sterling silver necklace from www.mommasjewels.com. These are the coolest necklaces I have seen, they have a teething ring built in, but you would never know it (they are beautiful!!!). My friend and her baby absolutely love it. I didn%26#039;t even know anything like this existed until I saw it on a website call coolmompicks. You can%26#039;t miss with this.
Reply:well my mother just had a baby in January. i think a good gift for the mother would be something like clothes or something for the baby so she doesn%26#039;t have to go to the store to get anything. trust me i know!
Reply:maybe there
Reply:body and bath stuff or a gift certificate for a day at the spa
Reply:New moms often recieve gifts for baby, maybe she would like a shampoo gift set, make-up gift certifiate from Sephora, a gitft certificate for a massage, or better yet a card from you saying you%26#039;ll babysit whenever she%26#039;s ready for a night out alone with hubby or partner. As a mom myself I would of loved that ! Good Luck

Would that be ok??

If not any other ideas: I have roses and stephonios and baby%26#039;s breath.

So I am doing these for the bridemaid flowers, can I do this for my bouqet?
I like the colors of the second picture, and I think that would go great with what your bridesmaids have.
Reply:That would look fine, although there%26#039;s not much color there.

My bridesmaid%26#039;s bouquets were smaller versions of mine.
Reply:Of course you can do whatever you want and I think it will be great!! I think it looks better when the bridesmaids are completely different from the bride. I did mine as round bouquets for the bridesmaids and then for mine I did a cascading bouquet and used different colors. I think this will look awesome!! Congratulations!!

Should I wear a milky pink or a baby blue dress to prom?

For my milky pink tube top dress, it looks somewhat plain, but it gives off this elegant look to it. Right under my chest, there will be some beads there, and from there, there is another layer, that goes up and wrap around my neck, turning it into a scarf.

Or...my baby blue tube top dress that gives off a princessy feel to it. It has two flowers attached to a thin strap that leads to a choker on my neck. The flowers are on the left side of the body. And on the top half, it has lines going across like this....

____. _____.______

____. _____.______

____. _____.______

____. _____.______ from the top to bottom with sparkly beads on it. ON the bottom half, its plain except there are flowers spread out here and there.

I love both dresses, and still can%26#039;t figure out which to wear.

And I dont know what kind of jewelry to wear with the dresses. Also, since both dresses are light-colored, is eyeliner necessary?

Should I wear a milky pink or a baby blue dress to prom?
you describe the dresses thoroughly enough, but what about you? are you pale or tan? blonde or brunette? eye color? these things play a big role in the right color for you to wear.

but if judging solely from the dress description, i would say go with the blue. the ruching that you talk about on the top half usually looks flattering on any body type, and it sounds a lot more formal than your pink one - personally, i think it%26#039;s a little plain...you want to stand out at prom!

as for jewelry, since the blue one already has something around the neck, simply go for big earrings, added with either a bracelet OR a ring (please not both, dont overdo). and i%26#039;d recommend hair up so it won%26#039;t cover up the flower choker.
Reply:you should wear the baby blue dress cuz it gives of this reely

%26lt;princesssy feel%26gt; and its prom ppl so get jazzy and i dont thin u shud wear eyeliner cuz it looks better with hard cloz

and wear stuff that matches ur dress like...figure this out urself
Reply:baby blue its always a prom favorite milky pink is more for a formal, and wear a choker with ur tube top dress it makes u look more sexy and yes!! use eyeliner, with nice frosty eyeshadow color. and make sure its very black eyeliner and on the bottom eyelid use a nice blue eyeliner it will bring out ur eyes even more
Reply:which colour looks better on your skin? we are all either a spring, summer, Autumn or winter and different colours either enhance or make us look worse. some colours will hide little imperfections on your face while others will make them more obvious. you will want the photos to look good aswell. so take a photo of yourself in both dresses in the same light. you might find that one looks better. if you have blue eyes the blue dress might make them look brighter, but maybe if you have fair skin the pink will make you look bronzed. just experiment. best of luck. hope you enjoy the night xo
Reply:the pink and if you are going to get pictures you will need eyeliner.
Reply:The blue one sounds very suitable for a prom , because you are suppose to feel special and like a princess. I personally would go with the blue the pink sounds good if you are going on a date or out for tea.

Nikki
Reply:Do you have a date? That would be one thing to consider helping to make your decision. Depending on what color shirt your date is wearing and how that will match?

If you don%26#039;t have a date, then I would next decide by what accessories (necklaces, shoes, bracelets, etc.) you have for each dress? If you have some cute accessories for one, but not the other that could help you decide.

Also, which one is more comfortable to dance in? If you plan on dancing, or sitting, or both you may want to choose the dress that best accomodates your activities for that evening. You don%26#039;t want to rip your dress from dancing too much (happened to me at prom!).

Another thing you might consider, if you have a digital camera; take pictures of you in each dress. Then you can really see what they look like from the camera%26#039;s point of view.

Just some suggestions. Hope these help!
Reply:I%26#039;d go with the baby blue one. That sounds so cool!
Reply:i like the way the pink one sounds, and as for makeup, i think a little eyeliner wont, hurt. definately a light pink eyeshadow and a good mascara. For jewelry i suggest a silver necklace, and maybe a pair of dangling earings. What color heels are u wearing?

Can you dye artificial white flowers blue?

I can not find baby blue roses, that are not an arm and a leg. So I was wondering if I could dye artificial flowers blue. I need them for my center pieces in my wedding, August 4 2007

Thanks for the help

Can you dye artificial white flowers blue?
I am sure that you can. Ask a florist first. They should be able to tell you without charging. MY homemade suggestion is to either find a HObby Lobby 1/2 price sale or take a bowl of water and mix in food coloring and then dip in the flowers. Dry upside down so teh stems stay the correct color!

Congrats! My wedding is on the 25th!
Reply:Yes... look for spray dye (craft stores etc. ) There are spray dyes designed for dying fake flowers..

Pretty inexpensive blue roses

Spray dye

http://www.fabricspraypaint.com/Simply_S...
Reply:Yes, of course. There%26#039;s a spray you can get at the craft store. Or check a floral shop, or where they sell wedding crafts - depending upon what you have around your area.
Reply:If the flowers are made of fabric, you should be able to dye them. How blue they get will depend upon the type of fabric you have. Try one and see first what the result is. I did it with a chiffon corsage for a wedding. The flowers came out a pale blue, which was fine for the occasion. Rit dye is available, but my first choice would be to find a silk dye made specifically for natural fibers (if your fabric is not synthetic.) You have a lot of time to experiment, thankfully.
Reply:of course!
Reply:Dont see why you couldnt...Go to a craft store and ask.
Reply:Actually you can spray paint them. They make a special kind of spray paint for this. Ask about it at Hobby Lobby or Michael%26#039;s. It is pricier than regular spray paint, but it goes a long way.

Before you spray them, put painter%26#039;s tape over the stem %26amp; leaves.

It works really well; I%26#039;ve done it a hundred times!

Unique baby shower....?

I%26#039;m trying to get ideas for baby showers. I would like to have more of a fancier and relaxing shower... maybe outside, with a lot of flowers and wine glasses * no alcohol*, but I would like ideas on anything you can give me on this.... or what is the neatest baby shower you%26#039;ve attended or had. I don%26#039;t want the usual one at someone%26#039;s house and the rectangular cake with old games... please give me ideas.. I%26#039;m not sure what I%26#039;m having yet btw.

Unique baby shower....?
Were having the same dilemma with my sons birthday party its in two weeks and i wanted it to be unique and different as well.

Venues.

1. what about a restaurant with out side seating, that can be reserved. I have never herd of a baby shower at a restaurant before.

2. A friend or family members backyard if they have a nice one. With round tables and white linens. Then go to a flower shop and look at bouquets for center pieces. Then have soft colored balloons since you don%26#039;t know the sex yet.

cakes

1. Cupcakes are the new modern cakes. You can have them on a tire and do them in light pastel colors as well. first layer soft pink (strawberry) second layer yellow (lemon) and third blue (blueberry)

2. Do a 2 layer cake. Find a baker who is in your area at a good price. Then do a swirl design or hearts maybe. With some booties at the top..

I%26#039;m doing my sons party at the zoo and having gift bags instead of loot bags, we are also having a three layer cake.

Good luck!~
Reply:A tea party in the garden would be a lot of fun!

My friends are giving me a Victorian Tea Party Baby shower this Sat. very elegant and relaxing. We%26#039;ll have little sandwiches and scones (with devonshire cream etc) and of course tea. One game is that everyone gets a decorated sugar cube in a tulle bag at the beginning, the person that gets the bag with the baby themed sugar cube wins a prize (all the other sugar cubes have roses on them).

They found the favors and the sugar cubes on e-bay, and everyone is very excited about attending.
Reply:We are personally doing a family picnic/bbq with everyone invited and depending on the weather will probably do everything outside and just enjoy the day. My babies crib theme is rainforest animals so we are trying to come up with some cute rainforest themed stuff to do with food and decorations and whatnot.
Reply:well i didn%26#039;t want to have a traditional baby shower either so I think my friends are throwing me an actual party with about 100+ people. DJs and all i think its going to be more of a night club scene.
Reply:I know you said no alcohol, but having alcohol for the guests wouldn%26#039;t be out of the question.

I recently attended one where the guests all sent in baby pictures of themselves -- many of which were family members. The host set it up as a collage, and everyone had to match baby pictures to names. It was silly, but it also made a nice keepsake for the mother to be.
Reply:you can serve party punch(sherbert, ginger ale,7 up) and mimoso%26#039;s...my mom always had tons of flowers on the tables. now you can go to a fav bakery and they have so many different options with cakes now. you don%26#039;t have to do a sheet cake. you can even do a 2 or 3 tier cake!! you don%26#039;t have to have games, or maybe just a few. i always wanted salads and lighter food. so my mom went to jersey mikes and order wraps... whatever food you are loving at the time its up tp you. my sister had a huge shower and it was so nice. they rented out a home, decorated it, and had a dj, bartender ,catered food with a staff passing food out. it was really nice, they played a few games!

Baby bedding themes??
try having everything in different hues of pink, yellow, lime green or some sort of mixture w/ those. Butterflies are adorable. Sorry if you count that as an animal =] Good luck though!
Reply:so teddy bears would be out of the question. ok how about a sky theme or stars? maybe a nice soft ocean theme? not like under the water things like the ocean with the beach and sun awesome sky and clouds.
Reply:I saw the cutest purple and green little girl baby bedding, it was floral with dragon flies. It was SOOO cute. I would have gotten it if I%26#039;d had a girl. I don%26#039;t remember where I saw it... but the theme was cute.
Reply:My friend just a baby and made her room all bright primary colors, It is real cute and easy to match anything. It will also be appropriate when the baby gets older.
Reply:what about princess or fairies anything you chose will be great don%26#039;t stress when you find your theme you will no it.there are so many things to chose from now a days.Good Luck and Congrats!!!!!
Reply:I have found some really great geometrical patterns from several places...JC Penney has some cool ones and so does Target. I dont know what your budget is but you can find some great mix and match things at Pottery Barn Kids but you will spend more than if you get a 5piece crib set. Good luck and have fun with it...if you really want to get creative go find a piece of art you like and make it the center or theme of the room! I have seen an amazing room done around an abstract that the mom did with colors she liked!
Reply:have a look at www.vertbaudet.com they have lovely stuff
Reply:Go to a fabric store, pick out what you like, and make your own!Or ask help from someone to make it for you out of the fabric designs that you pick.Good Luck.
Reply:Classic pooh, you cant go wrong. Its perfect for a boy and girl. and im not sure if you have a target where you live, but they have a ton of classic pooh stuff there.

Baby gift?

One of my close friends just had her baby today. She is in NY and I am in MS. I will see her and the baby in the beg. of March. Should I send her a gift now or hand deliver it? Any ideas about what to send? I was thinking about flowers, but they get pricey and I am a very poor graduate student. I would like to stay under $30.

Baby gift?
Babies only stay little for so long, so cutesie little outfits and burp clothes are only useful for so long.

What I might suggest would be photo albums and frams -- especially if this is her first baby. They will photograph that poor thing until it%26#039;s blind from the flash! Perhaps - a digital frame or even digital photo key chain.
Reply:Send her a card now and then hand deliver some cute little onesies or bath toys when you see her in march. If she is a good friend she will understand that you would want to hand deliver for that extra special touch.
Reply:You might consider buying some baby clothes 6 mo, 12 mo, 18 months? Some of my friends who have had babies say they get a lot of clothes for when the baby first arrives, but babies grow so quickly they appreciate a few clothes for the growing months. Plus clothes are easy to send.
Reply:Send her a card now and then give her the gift when you see her in person.
Reply:Send her some diapers, not flowers. She is not going to enjoy them. She just had a baby. Or you can always send a gift card in the mail in a nice card.

That would be good.
Reply:I think that you should send a photo book!!! I promise it WILL be used and if and when you come for a vist you can look at all the baby pictures that fill it up!!!
Reply:It would be better to hand deliver it when u see her. It sux when u go to visit a new baby and u dont bring anything. Get a gift set at Wal-mart or target or something. For a young baby a nice outfit is always suitable.

Would you let your husband design the baby room??? Why or why not?

My husband is a huge Ohio State fan and we are decorating the baby room in a Ohio State theme (Reds, Grays, Whites, and Blacks). We%26#039;ve found some great bedding, wall papers, toys, and all kinds of things. I was just wondering if anyone else would ever let their husband decorate their baby%26#039;s room. We also had an Ohio state wedding-complete with red flowers, gray dresses, and a football field grooms cake!

This is a link to the bedding that we have choosen.

Would you let your husband design the baby room??? Why or why not?
Chances are...no.

There%26#039;s very little my husband can decorate, and that%26#039;s why he has a man cave. He can do whatever he wants with it and I won%26#039;t say a word.
Reply:Sounds like your obsessed...Other than that its normal to let your hubby do it.
Reply:Sure as long as I agreed with him :) Seriously I think its fun to design the room together but my hubby has come up with the themes in all our kids rooms.
Reply:Maybe he likes Ohio State???? J/K If you have no problem with it then I dont see why not. You may however get bored with the theme early on. Most people go neutral instead of all out so their nursery lasts until their babies are toddlers and have a sense of style on their own. (Dora, Diego, Blues CLues, etc)
Reply:I see it like this the guy only has three jobs while the woman is carrying w/ child and that%26#039;s: work , make the child (with your help of course), and carry the heavy stuff. It would be a nice thing to let him also part take in how the baby%26#039;s room should be decorate but, let%26#039;s be serious now Ohio State everywhere in the room that would be a NO!! Tell him that you could have some OhioState things in the baby%26#039;s room but, not the whole room how does he know if the child is going to be a boy?
Reply:Not my husband yet. We have a little girl right now. I am about give birth to a boy and when it is time to decorate his room I will let my husband do it. A real close friends of ours decorated there son%26#039;s room with The Cleavland Browns stuff!! It is really cute for a little boy and it is something that he may never grow out of!!!

By the way the bedding is really cute!!!!
Reply:I won%26#039;t let him design the whole room by himself.....I%26#039;ll have some input of course. If we have a boy he%26#039;ll pretty much be designing the room and if it%26#039;s a girl I%26#039;ll be doing most of it because he%26#039;s not into doing any kind of girly stuff.
Reply:My fiance and I were thinking about this last night,

and he said he wanted to help out with a little bit.

Like all the painting colors and all.Which I%26#039;m perfectly fine with as long as he doesn%26#039;t put some crazy colors. He said that I can get the crib and plan all the rest.

My friend lost her baby today and I was wondering if you could help me with?

some ideas as to what to get her? I%26#039;ll get some flowers but I%26#039;d like to get her something that will last forever? When I lost my bub I got cards, flowers and chocolates. All I have as a keepsake is the prgnanvy test! My loss was 14 years ago and sometimes I wish I had something more to treasure in memeroy of my lost baby.

My friend lost her baby today and I was wondering if you could help me with?
Try looking online. Do a search for infant loss or miscarriage gifts and you can find something. When my son died, I was given an angel from Carlton Cards, so now I collect them in my son%26#039;s memory. I also have jewelry for him, stuffed animals, etc. You could get her a pin with the birthstone for the baby (go by either expected due date or by date of miscarriage fo this.) I have a small one with my son%26#039;s birthstone in it. One of the best ones is one I picked up at American Greetings in he mall. It%26#039;s a small angel with a special poem on it about losing a baby. (You can see examples of this type of pin here: http://www.thoughtfulangels.com/pins.htm... )

Another pin I love I got from the hospital so I%26#039;m not sure where you can get one. It is a red hart with a hole in it, representing the hole that my son%26#039;s death will leave in my heart forever.

Just do a search, and you%26#039;ll find lots of ideas. Be there for her, it%26#039;s the best thing you can give her.

I am sorry for your loss and you friend%26#039;s too.
Reply:Maybe a locket or a Charm bracelet with a baby angel on it. I am so sorry to hear that. I cannot even think of what that would be like.
Reply:When I lost my sec. baby my friend printed me a card with a poem on it about the loss of a baby, it was so nice and something I can take out and read.
Reply:u can give her a pregnancy loss book, and some websites to help her out with her grief.

Blooming britain online flowers how can they justify advertising? they do nothing that they promise!?

ordered a bouqet for a new baby, the comapny delivered it to milton keynes and not to chester two days late in appalling condition, they will not return my calls or e-mails. I returned the flowers to them. How can such companies exist when their standards are so low?

Blooming britain online flowers how can they justify advertising? they do nothing that they promise!?
Contact trading standards in your area. They will sort this out for you.

I have used several online such as jersey flowers and never had a problem. However, the best way I have found is contact talking pages and ask for a florist in the area you want to send the flowers to.

You then make your own choice of florist and phone your choice. This I method I have found to be more personal and I derive far more pleasure doing it this way. You can actually tell the florist what you want and it can work out to far cheaper than having a set bouquet..

I hope you have this matter resolved to your satisfaction and that the baby is not a year old before it is.

How do you get the man in your life to bring you flowers?

I have know the man I love with all my heart since high school, we finally got together a little over a year and a half ago and by the sheer freakish humor of who ever is incharge, I wound up pregnant! while on birth control and using protection! figure that one out! But here we are about to find out what our baby is and, with my hormones running wild I feel as though I am being treated like the same ol girl who in high school! that girl who would not have wanted flowers or to be treated like a girl but wanted to be treated and acted like one of the guys. But I am finding now that I do want flowers and I do want for him to do special things, but I do not want to just come out and say %26quot;buy me flowers or someting%26quot; PLEASE HELP! Aside from the crazed hormones how do I let my man know I need to feel special, and not just the baby maker

How do you get the man in your life to bring you flowers?
As a man, I think that you are going to need to give him the hint -- and to you as a woman, this will more-or-less mean that you need to tell him flat out because most of us men do not understand these kinds of hints very easily -- that you would like him to buy you flowers and etc, or at least that you would like him to do things to make you feel special.

Do you have any close friends who also know your man? If so, maybe you could ask one of them to have a talk with him. That way you wouldn%26#039;t have to spell it out so maybe it would seem more romantic?

I bet he would be happy to do these kinds of things for you to make you feel special, but a lot of times, we (men) don%26#039;t really understand what we have to do to make women feel this way. Unless you tell him or get someone to tell him, I don%26#039;t know how he will find out, especially if you used to consider yourself as a person who wanted to be treated %26quot;like one of the guys%26quot; and not in the way you%26#039;re talking about now.
Reply:Men are not mind readers, do both of you a favor and tell him what you want. I don%26#039;t even do that anymore. I just buy myself what I want and tell him this is what you got me for my birthday or Christmas. We are both happy this way. I get what I want and he doesn%26#039;t have to guess or do the shopping.
Reply:If he bring flower that when you shud worry, he only do if he feel guilty.
Reply:Buy yourself the flowers and when he asks why tell him getting flowers makes you feel good and you feel like you need a lot of feel good things around you right now. Hopefully, he will get the hint.
Reply:awww, first of all, I feel for you!!!! I know what hormones can do to us, AND what its like to wanna feel that special while the guy%26#039;s so in the dark, knowing nothing about it.

well, I think there%26#039;s a smart way of doin it.. why don%26#039;t YOU do something special for him one day - say a special candle-lit dinner on the table instead o%26#039;your everyday on-the-run meal.. or a flower on the pillow, anything YOU would have liked him to do for you.. %26amp; he%26#039;ll probably ask %26quot;whats this all about%26quot; so you just slid a remark - nicely, sumthin like %26quot;hey, its nice to make your partner feel special every once in a while!%26quot;.. .Or %26quot;I just thought of what you mean to me %26amp; wanted you to know that I care%26quot;.. sumthin that will stir up this kinda thought in HIS head!! - Im sure he cares, it just doesnt occur to guys, they need a little push sometimes!

hope this helps,

best of luck sweetie!
Reply:You dont silly. If he aint that kind of guy then that is who he is. I have tried asking the guy to bring them and gave him many different ways to do this and times to do this and never once did he do it. OH, except when we would argue and he was clueless of the reason we would argue and he didnt want to back track why we were argueing nor did he want to listen to why i was angry, THIS is where he would go out and bring me flowers!!! the kind I specifically said I did not like.LOL but anyways, they wont bring them if they are not that kind of guy unless they are super mature and a good listener.
Reply:For one your man is not a mind reader and if he hasn%26#039;t done that maybe he is just not a sensitive thinker like that, although that%26#039;s a very common gesture from a gentleman , but if you are persuasive enough maybe you could give him hints by asking him to go to a flowershop to look at the flower buquets and say something like( I love these!) or my friend%26#039;s o%26#039;l man got her flowers, I think that%26#039;s beautiful don%26#039;t you think? I mean a closed mouth doesn%26#039;t get fed sweetie.
Reply:tell him your needs. dont tell him to bring you flowers, doing that, you might as well buy them for yourself. tell him you need something a little extra from him.
Reply:I pretty much had to tell my husband outright that I wanted flowers. I even had to tell him that tulips were my favorite. It made me feel dumb at first because I wanted him to surprise me, not just do it because I said so. But when he did, I told him how much I loved them (and him) and thanked him for doing it. Now I get flowers on all our special occasions without me asking for them- I still remember to thank him and tell him how much I appreciate it. Sometimes guys just can%26#039;t take a hint so it%26#039;s okay to tell them directly what you want from them.
Reply:You ask him, he%26#039;s not a mind reader.
Reply:Honey you have to tell him men don%26#039;t know unless you do they are a different species.Let him kow how you feel and that your no longer one of the guys but the mother of his unborn child and that you want to be treated like a woman

My bouqet:

Ok my dress are in, what flowers would go with the dress updated:?
I think you should go with a color that matches your reception. You sem to be using light pink and champagn for yours so I would maybe use a darker pink and champagne or two shades of pink for the bridesmaids. If you pick two main colors and one accent color and carry it throughout the ceremony and reception you can%26#039;t go wrong!
Reply:The bridesmaid dresses should be the same colour or in the same tone as the flowers you are going to use. You want to make this colour memorable, so decorating the room your wedding is going to take place in too. I love it when I go to weddings, I remember the colour that was present. :D
Reply:I think the gerbera%26#039;s are all wrong. Follow the rose theme with your bridesmaids - or something a bit more classic, they just seem to clash with the traditional line of the dress.
Reply:I really like your colors you have now. Otherwise it might clash. Congrats in June!
Reply:Your colors for flowers are very pretty. Stay with them.

My friend lost her baby today and I was wondering if you could help me with?
I lost my baby last year, I had a stillbirth and really a card that explains that you would be there for her if she ever needs you is a good thing. I loved to know that they are there for me when ever I need them and I need someone by my side.
Reply:A bracelet, necklace or brooch with an engraved name and date they was first conceived or when your friend first knew she was pregnant and the day they died. Or just the day she died if you don%26#039;t know the conceived or known pregnant date.

That would be so sweet.

Just make sure its very good jewelery not the cheap stuff.

Its a hard time for your friend at the moment as you might know so stay with her always and try to do things to take her mind off of her.

Cry with her. Let it all out. It makes you feel so much better and hopefully she should get stronger day by day.
Reply:We just bought our first home and the previous owner had a miscarriage and planted a rosebush in memory of the lost child. She was very specific that she was going to dig it up when we closed and take it to her new house. I think a plant like that is a great idea. It was a paradise rose...very sweet.
Reply:I lost my lil angel last year in June after 27 days of giving birth to her. All i really wanted at that time was a room to cry and keep out of everyone. But my friends were really nice. They all came over and took me out for lunck/dinner. My boss sent me a bunch of white roses with a note. That was very touching. BUt my firneds use to take me out and that helped me a lot from sulking in a room and crying.

So I wld say instead of giving her anything that wld make her remember the pain for long, take her away from the pain. Take her out and invite her to your place. Maybe have long talks with her that would help her ease her tension and act as a catharsis.

If you really want to get her something, get a plant or a shrub for her. Ask her to plant that in her garden and name it by her baby;s name. That would really heal her soul when she would watch the plant grow. My sympathies with your friend. I hope she gets pregnant vey soon. Good Bless.

The Best Thing Right Now Is To Be There For Your Friend And To Have Her Know She Is Truly Loved. Miscarriage Is A Very Difficult Thing To Come To Terms With. Sorry This Isn%26#039;t About Me And My Wife But We Planted A Rose Bush As A Memorial To The Life We Lost. Reply:eite down the date it was lost then give it a name on a calendar, or make a plaque out of something
Reply:you could get her a necklace with his/her bday name or something special engraved. depending on how far she was if she has pictures of the baby you can get her a locket.

a framed poem, and engraved plaque

if she owns her own house a small tree to plant in her yard that will forever grow even past her life time

was it a loss during pregnancy or a baby after birth?

if its was after birth and she has pictures you can make a quilt with some of his/her things clothes and then do pictures on it also. that would be amazing.
Reply:A donation to charity where the baby will end up on a list?

Get a bunch of people together and get a plaque in a cemetery?
Reply:If she wears jewelry there is a necklace that I found when I lost my baby last year and it%26#039;s a heart with a pair of footprints that are the size of a 10 week embryo....I wish I could have gotten one at the time. Also there are so many different websites that are dedicated to pregnancy loss with beautiful poems that will capture the pain she%26#039;s going through. I would find a poem that touches your heart and have it printed up on nice paper and frame it for her.

Its my baby's 1st birthday in 3 wks but..?

It would of been my baby girls 1st birthday on the 27th of march but she sadly passed away last september aged 6 months due to a terminal illness. ive planted my little princess a pink rosetree as part of her memory and were going to take her a big bouquet of pink and white flowers to her grave.. but im not sure what else we can do in our beautiful baby%26#039;s memory for her 1st birthday .. it will be a really hard day for us but i want to celebrate it for my beautiful little angel. if anyone has any ideas of what i could do to celebrate her 1st birthday it would be much appreciated.

Its my baby%26#039;s 1st birthday in 3 wks but..?
My sister has a rose garden dedicated to her lost angel. She and her husband still plant a rose every year.

When my sister got pregnant again 7 years later, she and her husband planted a beautiful weeping willow in her memory. This tree wound up being the tree swing tree and a great climbing tree for both of their other 2 children.

I hope this is a helpful idea for a painful time.
Reply:I will be praying fo you, the others are right, you can get the balloons. I know your pain will never go away. God bless you
Reply:I feel so sorry for you - you have every right to break down as well as celebrate it is not fair!

The balloons are an excellent idea and just a day to think about and laugh and cry about your daughter and the valuable memories you do have. Raise a glass in toast to your angel. The balloons are an excellent idea - would you like to get a little toy to keep with her keepsakes or do you think this would be harder for you? Anything to make you feel better and celebrate the life you brought into this world. I also like the idea of donating to a charity , something connected to your daughter or the hospital that cared for her you can tell your friends and family they may like to contribute and feel uncomfortable about how to raise it for you. You could have a little memorial service for her in the way of a little get together to share memories.

I wish you all the best.
Reply:First of all I wanted to say sorry for your loss. I know it a hard time and I am feeling for you. Want you can do is donate some money to March Of dimes in her memory that would help the other babies.. I would get some balloons of pink and white and send it up to the sky. It would be coming to heaven.
Reply:Oh gosh that is so sad. What about letting off pink helium balloons with messages on? I went to a babys funeral and we done that, it was lovely. We all tied our own message and let them go at the same time. I am so so sorry for your loss xxx

Green and white baby shower...?

I am pregnant with my first and my mom is so excited she wants to start planning the baby shower already. She wants me to pick a theme I like so we can start buying stuff (we have a tight budget it would be better to start early so everything will can be perfect when the time comes). I am having my baby shower April 26th (I%26#039;m due May 25).. I want my theme to be simple green and white.. so i was thinking of different shades and green and white decorations? Like paper laterns and white flowers and things like that. Also the toilet paper game because toilet paper is white or using green string.. is this tacky? Do you have any more ideas..It will be spring and i live in ohio. Im 19 (will be 20 at the time of shower) and i dont really want anything to old fashioned. I dont like anything with ducks..lol.. would white flowers be better than white teddy bears with green bows? What are some cute favors I could hand out? Thanks for anything you can come up with!

Green and white baby shower...?
Green and white sounds nice.. You can give white chocolate teddy bears lollipops ( you can make them) with a green ribbon on the bag with your shower info on them. You can make flower lollipops as well.

What will make the green and white flow even nicer is if you don’t find out what you are having.. If you know it is a boy or a girl, you will be so tempted to lean towards gender specific items which will come in either pink or blue.

If your guests don’t know what you are having, they will bring you mint, white and yellow layette and it will keep the whole flow of the theme.

Off topic.. But keep in mind...Babies do not sleep in their own rooms right away.. They stay in yours in a bassinet or cradle for a couple of months and you do not have to know what you are having to register or set up a room. When you have too much done too soon, it makes your pregnancy feel so slow because you pretty much have everything prepared and nothing to do but wait.

I’m at 31 weeks and have no clue what I am having and this is so much fun and its going by so quick... when my sister in laws had their babies and knew what they were having it was so odd.. We knew the sex, the name...and when she went into labor they called and said..%26quot; I%26#039;m going to have Peter now.. I%26#039;ll call you with the weight%26quot; When my friends did not know it was so exciting waiting to hear it’s a boy or it’s a girl.. You can’t change the sex and you are going to accept and love the baby no matter what so why bother knowing.

Enjoy planning your shower and I think the green and white will be nice..

Congrats!
Reply:I think white flowers with maybe green ribbons tied through them sounds really cute and great. Plus if you%26#039;re on a tight budget teddy bears might over do it, especially if you have to get cheap ones cause they don%26#039;t look right most of the time. I like the flower idea, I think it%26#039;s classy.

Good luck!

What type of flowers would you use for a beach wedding?

i have to do a wedding project and the colors are baby blue white and a sandish color.

and it%26#039;s on the beach, in the bahamas.

what flowers would you think would go great with those colors and theme?

thank youu !

What type of flowers would you use for a beach wedding?
Hibiscus or white orchids....Frangipannis are really tropical and pretty too!
Reply:If the wedding is being held on the beach, keep in mind that you will need %26quot;sturdy%26quot; flowers that do not wilt easily and will not be beaten by a strong tropical breeze. I attending a beach wedding in Destin, Florida and the bride%26#039;s colors were purple and white. She used white and purple wisteria and the flowers were wilted and beaten before the ceremony took place.
Reply:I think that calla Lillie%26#039;s and hydrangea may be good as you can find some blue hydrangea to match the baby blue.

check this site http://desbijoux.com as you may find some other interesting accessories that match beach wedding theme.
Reply:Any tropical flower will do as long as you like it. My personal favs are Dahlia%26#039;s. They look great in bouquets
Reply:White flowers. Small bunches or singularly (this is my preference, as less is more!) of orchids or calla lillies.

Also, if you want a little more casual maybe frangipanis.
Reply:I would do a palette of tropical flowers in the bridesmaids bouquets accented with palm leaves for greenery.
Reply:My daughter %26amp; Son-in-law were married on the beach in Orlando Florida. She wore a traditional wedding gown, bare feet %26amp; carried calla lillies.
Reply:I would use tropical orchid leis

What does it mean if my ex-boyfriend send me flowers on my birthday and signs the card with?

what does it mean if my ex-boyfriend send me flowers on my birthday and signs the card with %26quot;love%26quot; and then his name? there is soooooooooooooooooo much more to the story than this. short version.....we just had a baby together, his mother (i think, but am pretty positive) wants him all to herself b/c he pays her bills, he has not seen the baby in over a month, he%26#039;s admitted to being a momma%26#039;s boy, ask me to marry him now has changed his mind and a lot of other things. anyways...why in the world would he send me flowers on my birthday? the arrangement even came with a teddy bear and hershey kisses!!! i%26#039;m so confused. i love him and care about him deeply, but have just gotten used to the idea of not being with him. i filed for child support too. i just know that if we were ever to get back together he would have to move out of his mother%26#039;s house (it%26#039;s actually his house). he has acted like he does not care, but sending me flowers? and remembering my birthday? i need some advice.

What does it mean if my ex-boyfriend send me flowers on my birthday and signs the card with?
Long story short: %26quot;He still cares for you%26quot;
Reply:It sounds like he still loves you and cares about you. I mean you were a couple and had a baby together.

If he says anything about you two ever getting back together I%26#039;d say I would only consider it if your mother was out of your house. Which I don%26#039;t think would happen anyway!

Just get on with your life without him. He sounds like he doesn%26#039;t know what he wants and can%26#039;t make up his mind. You need stability with a baby.
Reply:This guy obviessly loves you too and wants to see his baby. I%26#039;m sorry but get that ***** of a mother out of your way, that guy should be with you. Your going to have to tell his mother politely even though she%26#039;s a *****, that you would really like to see him again and it%26#039;s important to her grandchild that he/she has a father around, make it all for the baby because it%26#039;s true and she probably doesn%26#039;t care about you.
Reply:Hes trying to slide nicely back in to your life. He caes about you to rem. your birthday. H ehasnt seen his baby, do you really want a guy like that? Its a nice way to start a conversation, thinking youll call and thank him and hell be the good guy in your eyes for awhile.
Reply:Can you use some capitals, and maybe some paragraphs? That is such a mess to try and read.
Reply:im sure if he sends u flowers andstuff he still cares for u and the baby just try talkin to him
Reply:It means he was out drinking and got stupid . Then he wrote some crap that he never meant and now you are dazzled . The kids will grow up fatherless while he serves time behind bars . Meanwhile , you will seek pleasure at night clubs by over indulging in adult beverage consumption and become a free lance woman of the evening .
Reply:most flower shops u can order flowers and have them delivered on a certain date like i can order flowers tonight and have them delivered next yr. so he might have done that or hes tring to suck up to u
Reply:That%26#039;s nice
Reply:maybe he is just tryna be nice and didnt really mean anything by love (insert person%26#039;s name here). Every1 puts love in the card dont over react
Reply:Sounds like he loves you but loves his mother more or perhaps he%26#039;s just not ready for responsibilities
Reply:He hasn%26#039;t seen his child in over a month, but took time out of his day to send you a birthday present?

I say send them back to him, and tell him that if he wants to %26quot;send%26quot; you something.... diapers and milk would be a great start.

Maybe he was just being a nice guy and nothing more. Maybe you are being too hopeful and reading too much into it.

Hate to bust your bubble like that. Better don%26#039;t want you to get your hopes up over nothing. Then end up emotionly back at square one.

The mommas boy still has a soft spot for you!! You are loved by this man inspite of his faults!
Reply:you don%26#039;t need advise! you already know the answer to your questions
Reply:it%26#039;s normal to a guy to give a flower to a girl like you..but as you said he%26#039;s your ex-boyfriend..maybe he wants you to get back to his life thats why he%26#039;s giving you gifts that your getting mad at too. :D
Reply:means he still cares about you as a person, take it as a nice gesture of courtesy and send a thank you card back
Reply:it just means he appreciates you. Admit it, if he would have sent you nothing or just a plain card you would have been mad.
Reply:He remembered because he cares! I think he%26#039;s just so torn between wanting to be with you and his baby...and his mother needing him for financial support. It%26#039;s very selfish of her to be robbing him of his young life and family, just to fulfill her needs. She should get a job or apply for assistance and manage on her own. Keep the lines of communication open...but make sure that he understands you don%26#039;t want to live with his mother, nor should you be expected to.
Reply:if he cant make up his mind, then i would say to move on. he knows that your there and will fall right back in with him when he wants you to. dont let that fool you. you can get a more mature man that doesnt have to depend on his mamma and will love you today, tomorrow, and the next day without changing his mind.
Reply:I think u might be reading more into it because of your feelings.
Reply:Don%26#039;t read too much into this ... he did a nice thing by sending you flowers for your birthday...he didn%26#039;t say he wanted to spend the rest of his life with you. Say thank you for the flowers, let him visit his child, and get on with your life.
Reply:Lots of guys send flowers and chocolate as random acts of kindness. They think that%26#039;s what they should do.. This could be just part of his personality. Don%26#039;t get too worried and look for other signs. If he moves out of her house and then asks you again well..... ps be glad . My husband always said I was going to get you flowers...3 babies later... I think he forgot how to go to the corner store...HA
Reply:Teddy bear AND hershey kisses? That%26#039;s serious.

OK, actually it%26#039;s not. He%26#039;s either on the fence about you or he%26#039;s toying with you (or both). If he really loved you neither his mom nor anything else would stand in his way.

The baby makes it tempting but I have no reservation in urging you to stay FAR AWAY from this loser. Yuck. Yuck. Yuck.
Reply:he probably has affection for you seeing as you are the mother of his child.. you wanna know the ultimjate way to find out what people are really thinking? ask them !

but anyhoo that was really nice of him to send you all that... i reckon you should look into it.

goodluck
Reply:Well I dont know your age group and all, I%26#039;d just say treat him like you would any guy your just getting to know...Take your time, let him PROOVE a lot to you so as you wont get all major disappointed, Besides if your somewhat of a challenge for him now emotionally...GOOD.. stay involved in other peoples lives, friends, and all so he not take you for granted, If he wants YOU bad enough, the cord to mama should be cut by him himself, The other women is NOT always a sex partner!! been there a time or two, Goodluck and Godbless your Baby 2 !!
Reply:I don%26#039;t know his age but the house is his and he made a kid so he needs to be responsible to you and the kid....

I would go to court and get the baby his name and get child support......

then tell him he made the decision to make this baby now he needs to make another decision and tell his mother what he has done and he wants to take care of you....for goodness sakes.....

If he won%26#039;t do this, get the child support and move on with your life.and make sure he pays the child support....that is what the child support office is for........don%26#039;t hang around him anymore....don%26#039;t speak to him or anything until he decides to take care of you and the baby and that is if you have not found someone who will.
Reply:If you stay with him you will always have the same problem it will only get worse and you will have a lot of issues with the mom, I%26#039;m in the same situation we have two kids and I have been dealing with this for 8 years only b/c I loved him but I can%26#039;t be in a relationship when the mommy is running the show and now I%26#039;ve had enough I had to let him go back to his mommy. I f he can prove himself to be a man your man then give it a go we all want to be with our kids father.
Reply:Love is not given without truth behind it. There%26#039;s always something in the way... I know its easy to personify it with his mother but see the big picture. If you can pay all your kid%26#039;s own bills then that would help. If you can file for child support then that means homeboy makes a living. If he is busy spending over $150 or so to give you a b-day present that doesn%26#039;t last he is not that great with money. Mother should live where she is allowed but know her role. If you are good for his situation then ok. If you are not then you should be working on improving yourself. Nobody wants someone who decreases who they are. Live in harmony and benefit each other.
Reply:if hes ready to man up and get from under his mother i say be with him if not stay with that feeling of yall not being together good luck congrats on your baby
Reply:Chill out, don%26#039;t freak! Guys are plain and simple!!! You should not be mad!
Reply:That is a guy game. They want you, but with their terms. Set your own terms and stick to them. Tell him that you appreciate the card and flowers, but that does not change anything. It is your way or no way. If you don%26#039;t lay the law down, he will let his mother run over you the entire relationship. This is not a problem unique to him. Some guys just think that you will give in because you love them. They may love you too, but sometimes love is just not enough. There is a commitment factor. Obviously he has not made the commitment of taking care of this child, because he has not seen the child in over a month!! If he can%26#039;t make a commitment to his child, what makes you think that he can make one to you?? Do not settle. Go for what you and your child need in life. He sounds like a loser.

Should I send flowers.... How can i show her i still care?

My sis is supposed to have a baby (her first) in the next couple of days. She wants me to be at the hospital for the grand occasion, however i cant really do that as i live 500mi away. The rest of my family is planning to go to the hospital, so i feel bad that im not going to go. But after all i%26#039;m planning to drive down that way for thanksgiving and i dont want to drive 500mi there and back twice in the same month.

Anyways do you think i should send her flowers, or something of that sort. Or should I just bring her some when i visit for thanksgiving. Also are live flowers even a good idea with a new born in the house. I guess what i am i asking is - is there anything i can do to show her i still care since im not going to the hospital with the rest of my family.

Should I send flowers.... How can i show her i still care?
It%26#039;d be a good idea to send something to show you%26#039;re thinking about them and you wish you could be there. Some flower places will do newborn arrangements that include teddy bears and flowers. I%26#039;d suggest getting one of those along with a good new baby card. Your sister will miss having you there but she%26#039;ll appreciate the gesture and the fact that you%26#039;re thinkign about her!
Reply:yes! there r plenty of tings u can do! u can...

send her flowers in a plastic vase

send her a home-made movie sending ur luv

call her

get her a card

give her some baby needs

email her

oh! and when u visit for thxgiving, give her something to show u r sry for not being at the hospital, oh and don%26#039;t forget to get something for the baby!!!!! congrats AUNTIE! send ur sis luv from me, smiley face! congrats!
Reply:buy clothes or toys for the baby i know she%26#039;ll appreciate that
Reply:have someone with their cell on, and have them call you while she%26#039;s having baby. be on the phone, or call her afterwards...that way you can be there without having to be there. and flowers wouldn%26#039;t hurt. go for it!
Reply:call her...I enjoyed a call from my sister ..she had to work and couldn%26#039;t see me but her call made me happy

Or give someone in your family the flowers to give her from you....I%26#039;m sure she would understand
Reply:Ask her what she needs for the baby? or send diapers or something like a Teddy Bear to show you still Care..
Reply:when she has the baby send her a telegram and a small plant or flowers for the baby.
Reply:Flowers are nice, and they dont%26#039;; ahve to be extravegant, either. I think it%26#039;s nice to be thinking ofher, and I am sure she%26#039;ll know even without the flowers...at least she should!

congrats on being an Aunt!
Reply:there are other types of flowers you can send her that aren%26#039;t real and really cute, oh and this site i just found for you has teddy bears. i remember i sent my mom flowers like these for mothers day, it was all that expensive either like $12... and you can write things on them.
Reply:Flowers is good, along with a note that says that you wish you could be there, but will see her soon. It shows that you care in a tangible way.
Reply:I think that sending her flowers would be a wonderful idea. And explain to her your reasoning for not being there ... I%26#039;m sure she would understand :0)
Reply:Call her afterwords and apologize for not being there.I%26#039;m sure she would understand. Also send her a gift basket with a card, baby toys, baby clothes, and maybe even some balloons attached. With that a bouquet of her favorite type of flowers in it.She will love this and appreciate it alot. After having the baby and resting for a while, she will understand why you couldn%26#039;t be theree.Trust me I have 3 sister%26#039;s and 2 of the 3 had children.I know have 3 nephews but I wasn%26#039;t ther for one of the births. My sister understood completely and in the end was happy.Take my advice and use it wisely.I hope I helped you solve your problem.
Reply:i wuld send her something to show tht u r still thinking about her and u still care. she%26#039;ll apprieciate it and understand tht u culdnt come.
Reply:Definitely have someone in your family call y ou on their cellphone while they are with your sister so she%26#039;ll at least be able to hear you over the phone. You%26#039;ll be there with her in spirit. Tell one of your family members to pick up stuff that they think she%26#039;d want and bill you for it.
Reply:send it most def!

itll show her you care at that moment and you didnt forget

i say GO FOR IT
Reply:Flowers are good. Add in a telephone call would surely make your sister and your whole family know you still care, even if you can%26#039;t make it due to the distance. Explain your situation and I know your sister will understand. Having good thoughts of your sister only show you care and love her dearly. Cheer-up. She%26#039;ll be happy to hear from you!
Reply:Send balloons with a stuff animal.

I%26#039;m sure she will understand that you can%26#039;t travel twice in one month.

Have someone call you when she is about to deliver and have them leave the phone near by so you can talk to her and experience her joy.

Congrats, Auntie.
Reply:Gee whiz, she%26#039;s your sister. Drive those five hundred miles, if it kills you! Her having a baby is by far a more important event than thanksgiving. If you want to stay for thanksgiving, just stay the month.
Reply:First, you should sent her flowers then when you go for Thansgiving bring with you something for the baby like really cute baby clothes or ltiny shoes for the baby. You can decide want youu want to bring her.
Reply:I think that you should send her flowers, a note telling her why you couldn%26#039;t come and an appoligy would also be approperiate. She would like to know why you didnt come... obviously. But I am pretty sure she will understand that you dont want to drive that much when you will be seeing her soon, even though you did want to go, you will see the baby at thanksgiving, you can give all your love and best wishes then! Hope that helps!!
Reply:consider sending her a gift basket for %26quot;new moms.%26quot; A lot of companies specialize in this and put in things new moms need.
Reply:flowers for a birth????? when they go to deaths?

Card, small check, gas card for the car, baby clothes / bankets......
Reply:Send something to show your thinking of her the day the baby comes. Flowers are nice, maybe with a little gift card or something for the baby.
Reply:When you have a baby everyone gives a baby gift buy your sister something she will enjoy. And no flowers as you don%26#039;t know if the baby is allergic.

Listen to Libby she has a great idea!
Reply:remember that you wont be able to get this chance back again. just thought i%26#039;d throw that out there.

most DEFFinetly send her something. flowers and something for the baby!

maybe you can offer to stay with her a few extra days when you go for thanksgiving and help cook and take care of the house for her.
Reply:If you cant make it send the flowers and a baby gift basket. Include in the card that you cant wait to see the new baby at Thanksgiving. But here is my story:

When I had my daughter and my MOM didnt come it hurt. She lived aboout 500 miles away also. I have never forgiven her for it. My dad, brothers and sister came, they made the drive and left the same night. I was very mad at my mom. If it would have been my sister who wouldnt have made it, I would have been even more hurt than with my mom. Sisters are close and should share everything...
Reply:IM NOT SURE BUT FLOWERS SOUND LIKE A GOOD IDEA
Reply:Sice you are not going to the hospital and she wants you to go, call her when she is in the hospital( congratulate her and apologize for not going) Then visit her some day-Thanksgiving-and bring her something she likes or something for the newborn baby like a toy or some baby clothes. Also, you ccould give your sis flowers or a card that apologizes and just talk to her .I%26#039;m sure she will understand you:} Go for it!
Reply:Flowers are nice, chocolate is better, if she likes chocolate. A gift basket for the baby that has diapers, powder, wash %26amp; shampoo, a wash cloth, lotion, symphony music with lullabyes cd, etc.

If you want to really send your sis something special, a gift basket for her that has bubble bath, a wash pouf, candles, maybe a nice robe and more chocolate! :o)
Reply:Me personally, whenever I had one of my 3 kids, I would have wanted a box of chocolate chip cookies, and a little onsie, or blanket for the baby, or a teddy bear would have been nice. 1800flowers.com offers really nice gift baskets, that include goodies, and a little bear for baby, try them it will be well worth it. Skip the flowers though, those are meant more for %26quot;get well%26quot; sort of occasions, not %26quot;Yay It%26#039;s a baby occasion.%26quot;

What do baby box turtles eat?

While preparing a flower garden this afternoon we found a baby box turtle that%26#039;s only the size of a quarter. What should we feed him to ensure that its nutritional needs are met?

What do baby box turtles eat?
Try millworms, or even reg earth worms, if you don%26#039;t have any of that try some raw hamburger. You can also try some greens, like lettace. You can also buy turtle food, at a pet store or retail store, it comes in pellet form, but do try to get some milworms, turtles love them!
Reply:Remember that baby turtles can be tough to care for- not just food, but also temp, lighting, shelter, and more have to be offered in the right way. However, as to diet...

1. Baby boxies eat what the adults eat, just smaller pieces.

2. Do not feed turtles packaged food that is mostly ant or fly parts, hamburger, head lettuce, hotdogs, canned dog food, or other foods that lack nutritional value or are too fatty.

3. Baby turtles often do not eat right after birth, so as long as it is getting bigger and gaining weight don%26#039;t worry too much about it if it does not eat.

4. Make sure it has good access to water for drinking and soaking in.

Finally- PLEASE consider making it a %26#039;garden pet%26#039;- let it live in the wild in your garden/yard. Boxies have rather small home territories and as long as it has food, water, and shelter it will probably hang around. People report having %26#039;tamed%26#039; wild boxies to take food from their fingers.
Reply:do not feed any luttuce at all, its only cellouse and will cause diarehha. feed kale or greens. also provide the common insects from your area such as worms, grubs, snails or slugs but limit slugs so that it%26#039;s throat doesn%26#039;t get gummed up. sprinkle vitamin and calcium suppliments every other meal. enjoy him for the summer then return him to the wild in one of your state parks by sept.
Reply:box turtle food, it says Fulker%26#039;s Box Turtle Baby

at petsmart or petco or even target and walmart.
Reply:Another common lament I hear over and over is that someone turtle will only eat one thing. For example, the turtle will only eat bananas, or cantaloupe or beef. Actually, this is a problem that is easy to solve, but it’s going to take some effort on your part to break the turtle of its addiction to one food. To do this, you mix of the turtle’s favorite food with other foods you want your turtle to acquire a taste for. You simply chop all the food into tiny, tiny pieces and mix it well so the turtle cannot help getting a bite of what it doesn’t eat with what it loves. Use a high portion of the favorite food initially, but during the weeks of retraining, reduce the amount of it until the turtle is eating a balanced diet. The process may take awhile but it is possible. A Three-toed box turtle I have took two years to retrain. He now eats whatever I put out for him.

Small jar of pureed chicken baby food

1/2- 1 cup of Pedialite ® or Gatorade ®

1/4 teaspoon cod liver oil

1 tablespoon calcium powder

Mix well and feed via stomach tube and syringe at a rate of 1.5 ml per 100 gms every 7 days. Veterinarians also have commercial syringeable food and can provide you with a syringe and stomach tube. These items can also be purchased from pet supply companies

this will help you and you little baby box turtle!!

i hope the best for the both of you and i think box turtles are so cute, use this mix for baby turtles and gradually add new thing to the diet of your turtle
Reply:TRY DRY SHRIMP
Reply:First are you positive he is a box turtle. Second once you have correctly identified the turtle make sure it isnt a protected species if it is I would let him go. A lot of natural resource regulating agencies monitor this site so that can catch people keeping threatened or endanangered species, which is a huge fine and saying you didnt know will not get you off. Once you have determined it isnt protected by looking it up in the field guide, look that species up and find out its specific food requirement. Most north american box turtles enjoy a varied diet of fruit, worms, insects maybe some dark green lettuce, dont feed him spinach it binds the calcium so it will end up being calcium defient. You can also buy him some premaid turtle diets at the pet store. Most important add calcium to his food and try to give him natural sunlight if possible if not buy him a special UV light otherwise his shell will soften and he will die. Personally I think you should let him go and buy a captive born turtle from a reptile specialist but thats my own opinion as I am concerned about the fact that box turtles are in a lot of trouble in many areas.
Reply:look into supplements at the pet store that are ment jut for box turtles but for now you can use ROMAINE LETTUCE DO NOT FEED HEAD LETTUCE there is no nutritional value it has to be the long leaf romaine
